Hong Kong Green School Award - - Facilitators 


The Hong Kong Green School Award is organised by the Environmental Campaign Committee, Environmental Protection Department and Education Bureau since 2000. The objectives are to encourage schools to formulate a school environmental policy and environmental management plan towards a green school; enhance environmental awareness, develop environmentally friendly attitude and promote green practices among school managers, teachers, non-teaching staff, students and their parents. 


You can play an important role in helping the primary school and secondary school in achieving green school awards through being the school facilitator, if you fulfil one of the following criteria:

1.            Experienced teaching staff from schools that have participated the HKGSA in the past, especially green school teachers and retired principals (these teachers have an obligation to nurture other green schools).


2.            Technology or architecture professionals, consultants from tertiary institutes, or members of green groups who are able to provide practical professional opinions.


3.            Potential environmental professionals, including postgraduate students and final-year undergraduate students specialising in an environment-related discipline.

By being the school facilitator, you will work with other two to three talents of different fields to share experiences of environmental managements, set up environmental management rules, provide plans for energy efficient facilities and other environmental advices.
